It’s like it has eyes in the back of its head. Expedition offers an optional Safety and Security Package which includes the Reverse Sensing System. The System alerts the driver to closing distance when backing toward an object. Optional AdvanceTrac™ with Roll Stability Control (RSC) lets you tackle the challenges of the road with confidence. Regardless of the surface, it helps maintain stability in potential rollover situations. It automatically engages when you start the engine, but an on/off switch is provided for those rare occasions when you may want tires to spin freely. The available Safety and Security Package includes the Safety Canopy™ System which uses advanced sensors to deploy side curtain airbags* in certain side impact collisions or rollover events. The airbag covers approximately two-thirds of the first- and second-row side glass. It stays inflated for a longer duration to provide enhanced head and shoulder protection.
